NIOS Syllabus

NIOS – National Institute of Open Schooling, was previously known as NOS – National Open School. It is an autonomous educational board of school education in India. It is mainly known for its prominent open schooling system globally, with the highest significant number of courses available, supported by the standard educational pattern that provides students with quality education.

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) was established in November 1989  with the primary objective of providing a world-class standard in education.

The NIOS conducts Public Examinations and provides the Secondary and the Senior Secondary Level Certificates, equivalent to the credentials provided by any other Board of School Education. This is because all the Boards of Education follow the same curriculum framework brought out by NCERT, the National Council of Educational Research and Training.

NIOS develops the curriculum with self-learning material and expert faculties from several reputed academic and vocational education institutions. The NIOS curriculum for secondary course Science and Technology contains all the basic subjects in an essential manner.

The NIOS follows the principle of freedom to learn to provide quality education.

The NIOS syllabus is available for offline viewing too. Interested candidates can navigate to the official website or click on the link that we have provided below. Students can download the NIOS Senior Secondary Syllabus by clicking on the below-given links.
