The Tamil Nadu Board of Secondary Education conducts the Class 12 exams or TN HSC 2nd year(Higher Secondary Certificate) in the state. The board, which has its headquarters in Chennai, was established in 1910. The board is responsible for setting the syllabus and creating textbooks for Class 12. Additionally, the board also evaluates the Tamil Nadu Board Class 12 exam papers and announces the results for the same.

About Tamil Nadu HSC Board

The Tamil Nadu Board Class 12 exam is one of the public exams conducted by the Tamil Nadu State Board. The board, which is also known as the Directorate of Government Examinations, was formed in 1975. Every year, over 8 lakh students appear for the TN HSC 2nd year (Class 12) exam, which is conducted annually in the months of March and May. The Board also conducts supplementary exams for repeaters or students who failed the TN Board Class 12 exams. The supplementary exams are held twice between the months of June and October.
